At a community function I was attending, I met a WiseWoman who was carrying a black WisePack™. She knew I was one of the creators of it and told me how much she loved her bag and how she can't stop using it. She then proceeded to tell me that, for the past two years, her WisePack™ has traveled the world with her. That didn't amaze me because I hear that a lot. What amazed me was that she met someone in the Amsterdam airport who was carrying a black WisePack™ too. Ahhh WiseWomen! But I don't know why I would be surprised. In the last year, our bags have been purchased in Australia, Ireland, and England. When I reach out to some of our customers, I learn about their travels, which frankly make me very jealous. Despite the challenging economic times, women are traveling. Here are a few of the wonderful WisePack™ stories I've heard:
An internationally known vocalist who travels Europe with her husband, a world renown accordion virtuoso, said she had some neck issues. After checking the typical google sources like ebags,(consider not naming competition – might increase their google search level) she found us and was immediately attracted to the WisePack™ because it was lightweight.
We've had many travelers to Africa. One story I especially like is of a young woman who was traveling Africa for three weeks. She had been loading up her WisePack™ beyond it's limits and broke the zipper after the first week. She was very upset because she had grown very fond of her WisePack™. Thank goodness, someone gave her a needle and some thread and she was able to do a temporary fix till she got home and had it repaired. "I can't stop using it she said."
When I say we have world travelers, think of this lucky woman who purchased a Bronze bag. "My bag went to South Africa and China with me this year and I'm heading to India in January where I will continue to use it. I need one of the mini-totes to have another option for my treasures."
Karen and I know that over the past year our WisePacks™ could be seen in Japan, Singapore, Egypt, Korea, Thailand, Prague, Vienna, Greece, Saudi Arabia, and England. And that's just what we know. It's hard to fathom where all the other bags have ventured. What I'm convinced of is that women know a backpack is better and more versatile than a purse.
We always get comments about the safety pocket that rests against the back. "If I'd taken my WisePack™ instead of a purse today, I wouldn't have had my wallet lifted out of it. That's one of the things I like about the wisepack. It's not easy for anyone else to get into and you rarely put it down because it's so easy to carry."
But it's not only the world travelers that write us. I love these little stories:
"I'm probably the oldest woman still using a backpack because I like to keep my hands free. I was so excited to find your WisePack™ because it is the perfect size for my duplicate bridge cards."
"I have walked on crutches for almost 18 years and carrying things is difficult for me. Tote bags fall off my shoulder all the time. I had started using a school-type backpack, but it is just too big to mess with, which is why I was overjoyed to find your backpack."
"I've been walking to the gym everyday, I've discovered my WisePack™ is perfect for my workout gear. I can get a pair of athletic shoes, my socks, shorts, and top inside and my water bottle on the outside. Then my hands are free to hold my Latte as I walk."
And even my two daughters have found their WisePacks™ useful. Here is what they say:
"When I needed a bag to go back and forth from work, I started using the WisePack™ and now I can't stop using it. It carries everything and doesn't make me feel like I'm carrying my old college bag."
"Having twins helped me realize that having a hands free diaper bag was very helpful."
Karen and I are so happy that we can share these customer stories with you. If you have your own please send them to me at myrna@wisepack.com. Photos welcome!!
